In addition to the attention for technical, tactical, physical and mental development, there is a lot of attention for the theory of Academic Art. Attention is also paid to social and, if applicable, technical business development of the rider. Apart from being always “eternal” students, everyone is mentor of their own class clients or looking for new ones. This is also about communication and unification. It is important to create space and peace, so that your horse is able to cope with the new efforts, both physically and mentally. Therefore, for example, good nutrition and sufficient rest are indispensable to restore the body. Attention is paid to this during the training.
Besides information, demos and information there are many practical moments. In the first year, the emphasis is on learning the basics, techniques and getting acquainted with Academic Art. Second floors, the floors gradually come. More specifically, anatomy, movements and refinement are discussed. Practical lessons will also be intensified and more details will be worked on. The guidance remains individual or in small groups. Optionally, you can also choose to participate in clinics from Bent Branderup as a measurable moment.
The rider is primarily responsible for the development of her own horse. To make the rider aware of a development and skills, the horses rotate periodically during the training (also the school horses of Greetje itself). As a result, you see and feel more. There is more and better discussions between instructors and the development of the horses. The rotation of horses is therefore a means and not an end in itself. In the first year this will not occur very often, as there is often (experience) need for firmness.
Development is a continuous process. What one sees as a step higher, sees another as an obligation. The course does not work with levels or pyramids, but strives for an ever better level, unique character and also the associated responsibility. One student, for example, has more depth in the psyche of the horse / rider and the other is anatomical, making everyone a unique instructor, mentor or rider. The annual training provided in forming or by evolving you as a person with a horse. Of course there are fixed evaluation moments and personal discussions. Every year there is a final assessment and a certificate of participation.
If trainers or students have questions, they can always contact Greetje, the mentor or fellow students. Depending on the question, it is then determined who can provide the best answer within the program based on his or her expertise. All fellow students, staff members such as Greetje are ready for it. On to an even better future!
